Britney Spears Mentioned She Had An Abortion While She Was Dating Justin Timberlake
Britney Spears has dropped a bombshell in her recently released memoir that she went through an abortion when she was in a relationship with Justin Timberlake. The Pop Princess revealed in her book “The Woman in Me,” which is going to be released on October 24, that the pregnancy came as “a surprise,” but it was not “a tragedy.”
In one section, she wrote, “I loved Justin so much. I always expected us to have a family together one day. This would just be much earlier than I’d anticipated. But Justin definitely wasn’t happy about the pregnancy. He said we weren’t ready to have a baby in our lives, that we were way too young.” This was published Tuesday by People.
She further added, “I’m sure people will hate me for this, but I agreed not to have the baby. I don’t know if that was the right decision. If it had been left up to me alone, I never would have done it. And yet Justin was so sure that he didn’t want to be a father.”
They terminated the pregnancy back in 2000 when she was just eighteen or nineteen years old. She mentioned that the procedure was “one of the most agonizing things” she ever experienced.
Representatives of Timberlake did not respond to this. However, as the book release is coming close, one of the sources told Page Six that the 42-year-old Timberlake was concerned about what 41-year-old Spears was going to write in the book. While another one mentioned that the book was “not a takedown” of any sort in particular.
Spears and Timberlake dated for a span of almost three years, from 1999 to 2002. After that Spears got married to Kevin Federline and Timberkale married Jessica Biel in 2007 and 2010 respectively.
