It’s Official! JLo And Ben Affleck Are Married, Singer Confirms
On 16 July Saturday, singer and actress Jennifer Lopez got married to the love of her life, Ben Affleck, after calling off their first engagement years ago. They got married after a two-decade-long romance with a lot of ups and downs in between. JLo confirmed that the two got married in Las Vegas.
The romance finally culminated in marriage after seventeen years of calling off their engagement. The two celebs took a very long break before reuniting last year. Jennifer Lopez, 52, posted on her website:
“We did it. Love is beautiful. Love is kind. And it turns out love is patient. Twenty years patient.”
The megastar posted a plethora of images on her own website, OnTheJLo, where she could be seen wearing a white dress. Ben Affleck, 49, was seen wearing a white tux.
The newly married pair met for the first time in the year 2002 on the sets of the movie Gigli they were working on. However, even after they got engaged in 2003, they decided to call it off due to the “excessive media attention.”
Spilling more deets on their wedding, she added:
“Last night we flew to Vegas, stood in line for a license with four other couples, all making the same journey to the wedding capital of the world. Behind us two men held hands and held each other. In front of us, a young couple who made the three-hour drive from Victorville on their daughter’s second birthday—all of us wanting the same thing— for the world to recognize us as partners and to declare our love to the world through the ancient and nearly universal symbol of marriage.”
Ben Affleck was married to Jennifer Garner from 2005 to 2018. On the other hand, JLo was also engaged several times after they parted ways. She also married Marc Anthony, singer, in 2004.
