Kathy Hilton Breaks Silence On Sister Kyle Richards’ Separation From Mauricio Umansky

Kathy Hilton broke her silence for the very first time about her sister’s (Kyle Richards) separation from Mauricio Umansky on the news, mentioning that she was completely heartbroken.

The 64-year-old socialite made an appearance on Today with Hoda and Jenna’s Monday episode with Paris Hilton, her youngest daughter. When the host, Jenna Bush Hager, started talking about the difficult time that Richards had been going through with her partner, Hilton admitted, “When I first saw it, I was just like, it just broke my heart. She’s very strong, she’s resilient, and I love my nieces. I just want her to be happy.”

Hoda Kotb asked Kathy then whether there was a possibility that the 54-year-old Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star and 53-year-old Umansky could actually fix things, especially because the estranged couple celebrated Thanksgiving together.

In this context, Kathy said, “Honestly, you’re asking me? There’s no way that Kyle would’ve gone this far unless she really thought about it.”

42-year-old Paris attempted to look on the brighter side of things, chiming in with how her aunt is currently looking really hot after making wellness her daily routine and quitting alcohol. In this context, Kathy added, “But then the dating’s gonna start, and I’m gonna go.”

In spite of staying silent on the separation, Kathy posted a cryptic quote previously on social media very shortly after the news was confirmed in July by Page Six. The reported quote said, “My mom once told me, ‘Once you are matured, you will realize [sic] that silence is more powerful than proving your point.’ And I felt that.💯”

Her good thoughts and wishes came after she had stopped talking with Kyle for several months after Kathy’s off-camera meltdown (alleged) on RHOBH Season 12.

It seemed like the two sisters were trying to mend their ongoing feud in June when they spent time in Aspen, Colo, at the wedding of Kim’s daughter.

The estranged pair shares three daughters: 15-year-old Portia, 23 year-old Sophia, and 27-year-old Alexia.
