KK Passes Away At 53: The Voice Of Love Is No More!

Krisnakumar Kunnath, who is more popularly known as KK, passed away on 31st May 2022. He was performing in Kolkata’s Nazrul Mancha, where he complained about feeling unwell. The entire country has been mourning the sudden demise of the talented singer.

The singer was sweating profusely at the venue while performing. A video that has surfaced online shows that KK was wiping his face with a towel complaining about the heat and humidity. He had also asked the authorities to take care of the air conditioning.

The singer reportedly collapsed after reaching the hotel room. After he was rushed to the CMRI hospital by the management, the doctors declared him dead on arrival. According to reports, the cause of death that the doctors have mentioned is cardiac arrest.

Police have filed a case of unnatural death as the legendary singer had head injuries that may have resulted after he collapsed on the floor. The police have been inspecting the CCTV cameras to be sure of the incident.

Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar has said in an interview:

“He was part of my career, he was a part of my lots of songs… It was a very shocking thing what happened last night. It’s very sad that we are losing a lot of our singers & it happened at a very young age.”

The family of the KK has arrived in Kolkata. Following this, the body of the deceased was sent for postmortem at the SSKM hospital.

An entire generation has grown up listening to KK’s famous songs. Some of the most popular ones are Sach Keh Raha Hai Dewana, Dil Ibaadat, Khuda Jaane, Zara Sa, Ankhon Mein Teri, and more.

 

However, the most famous and most played of them all is Pyar Ke Pal, a song that made its place in every college or school farewell. Ironically, Pyar Ke Pal is also the last song that he sang in the concert, hours before his death.

 

He is rightfully called the voice of love. It is heartbreaking to accept that his voice shall be heard no more. Morning the death of one of the finest singers in India, who is “apolitical” and “non controversial,” as quoted by Usha Uthup, fans and celebrities alike have flooded the social media platforms.
