Paris Hilton Talks Candidly About Her Decision To Opt For Surrogacy
Paris Hilton reveals the reason she chose to opt for surrogacy for the birth of her two children during an interview with Romper. The socialite said that she still has “so much PTSD from what [she] went through” at Provo Canyon School for Troubled Youth in Utah.
“If I’m in a doctor’s office, I get a shot, anything, I will literally have a panic attack, and I can’t breathe,” She disclosed during the interview with the Parenting website for millennial parents.
Hilton, 42, further added, “I just knew that would not be healthy for me or the baby, growing inside of someone who has such high anxiety.”
Paris Endured Physical, Mental, And Emotional Abuse At Provo Canyon School For Troubled Youth…
The socialite revealed in her documentary titled “This is Paris” that she endured physical, emotional, and mental abuse when she was at Utah’s Provo Canyon School in 2020. In the documentary, Paris claimed that she was subjected to random non consensual gynecological exams late at night throughout her stay at the school for 11 months.
In her book, ‘Paris: The Memoir’ Hilton talked about the experience in detail. She revealed that whenever any of the students refused to cooperate during the vaginal examination, the staff would threaten them with a sedative injection, which Paris claimed that the staff used often.
According to Paris, the staff at Provo Canyon School when she was there consisted of “large, intimidating men” who could easily “dominate a 98-pound kid.”
Currently the Provo Canyon School is operated by a different group who stated that they cannot comment about the experience of the students under the previous management. They also said that they, “do not condone or promote any form of abuse.”
The “Paris in Love” star has briefly mentioned her fear of pregnancy during a previous interview with Glamour UK. At the time, the Socialite and Reality TV Star said, “I’m just so scared. Leading back to Provo of even being in a doctor’s office, just all of that, the shots, the IVs that they put in.”

Hilton also told Romper that aside from the abuse factor, her hectic work schedule is another reason why she opted for surrogacy. “My schedule is out of control,” she told the outlet during the interview, and added, “There never would’ve been the right time to do it because there’s literally no time to do anything in my life.”
