On Tuesday, Timothée Chalamet paid tribute to “Willy Wonka” by stepping out in a berry-colored velvet suit by Tom Ford during the premiere of the movie “Wonka” in London. The berry-colored velvet suit is part of Tom Ford’s ready-to-wear collection for women for spring/summer 2024. The female model who exhibited the ensemble on the runway paired the fitted velvet blazer with matching shorts.
However, Chalamet, 27, chose ankle-length slacks to wear with the blazer. He did not wear any shirt under the blazer. Instead, he opted for accessories to complete his look, which included a custom necklace by Cartier and square-toe Chelsea boots in chocolate brown.
But Chalamet did not let his flashy outfit do all the talking for him on the red carpet. The actor was spotted chatting with fans and posing for photos with them outside the Royal Festival Hall, where the “Wonka” movie premiere was held.
He also interacted with reporters present at the Premiere. While talking to inquiring reporters, he said, “I’m very excited! I’m very grateful for everyone that came out tonight to [see] the movie. It is exceptional.”
The actor was also slightly regretting his choice of outfit, as he was heard saying, “It’s a nice, chilly night. I don’t know what the hell I was doing wearing this!”
But this is not the first time that Chalamet paid homage to Willy Wonka, the beloved chocolate factory founder from the 1964 children’s book by Roald Dahl with his outfit. Chalamet showed up at the Tokyo premiere of “Wonka” in a custom Prada leather top and pants in a vibrant shade of lilac. He paired the outfit with white boots and another necklace by Cartier.
