Dhanush, Aishwaryaa Rajinikanth part ways after 18 years of togetherness

Dhanush and Aishwaryaa Rajinikanth’s separation might have shocked fans, but it was not a shock for their close ones. The couple announced their separation in a social media post and requested everyone to respect their decision and give them their personal space.

“18 years of togetherness as friends, couple, as parents and well-wishers to each other. The journey has been of growth, understanding, adjusting, and adapting… Today we stand at a place where our paths separate… Aishwaryaa and I have decided to part ways as a couple and take time to understand us as individuals for the better. Please do Respect our decision and give us the needed privacy to deal with this.”

The couple is the parents of two sons, Linga and Yatra. Fans of Dhanush and Rajnikanth took to social media to extend their support in this time of need.

According to the reports, people close to the couple know the main reason behind their separation. One of the couple’s friends reveals, 

“Dhanush is a workaholic. Anyone who knows him can tell that he puts his work before anything else. There have been many instances when his work commitments – traveling between cities and outdoor film shoots – have taken a toll on his family life.”

Dhanush-Aishwarya Plan To Cooperate Kids, Yatra, and Linga

The couple got married when Dhanush was only 21 and Aishwarya was 23. It seems that they have had tough times in their marriage for so many years and now they have chosen to split. 

They have decided to give others space and think about the career of their two kids. A close friend of the couple states,

“Their kids will always be their priority and they plan to co-parent them going forth. There is no animosity or hatred towards each other. If not immediately, but you might see them together in the public space and at events in the near future.”
