Florence Pugh was hit in the face by a flying object thrown from the audience while attending a “Dune: Part 2” Panel at the 2023 Comic Con Experience (CCXP 2023) on Sunday in Sao Paulo, Brazil. At the time, Pugh was onstage posing for photos with her ‘Dune: Part 2” co-stars, which included Austin Butler, Timothée Chalamet, Zendaya and Director Denis Villeneuve.
As seen in a video clip uploaded on “X,” formerly known as Twitter, the ‘Little Women’ star was caught completely off guard and got startled when the unknown flying projectile hit her in the face.
Her co-stars were concerned and checked to see if she was right, and Pugh also quickly dismissed the incident. However, a lot of people voiced their disapproval about the incident in the comments section under the video clip on “X.”
One user on “X” tweeted, “Disgusting. It’s going to get to the point where people do not want to do live events or concerts if they have to be worried about people throwing stuff at them and getting hurt.”
Another person opined, “That’s so unfair could’ve easily hurt her,” while a third commented, “Oh my gosh people are so rude!”
Florence Pugh is the latest celebrity in line to have gotten hit by items thrown on stage from the audience. Harry Styles faced a similar situation in July during his Love On Tour Trek. He got struck in the eye by a flying object while on stage in Vienna, Austria. Another celebrity musician, Drake, also got struck with a phone while performing onstage during the Chicago stop for his It’s All a Blur Tour.
