Jennifer Fessler Not “Afraid Of Ozempic” Even After Being Hospitalized For An ‘impacted Bowel”
Nothing, not even an ‘impacted bowel,’ can keep Jennifer Fessler away from the popular weight loss drug Ozempic. Fessler shared her experience of using the drug on Monday’s episode of her podcast “Two Jersey J’s” with Jackie Goldschneider. The newcomer on ‘Real Housewives of New Jersey’ revealed that she experienced an unpleasant side effect when using the drug Ozempic.
Fessler disclosed during the podcast, “I have been on, and I’m not going to call it Ozempic — that’s been the umbrella name. But I’ve been on semaglutide for over a year now, and I’ve lost maybe 22 pounds.”
Jennifer Fessler divulged that inspite of being a hypochondriac, her anxiety disappears when it comes to using things to enhance her physical appearance.
She said, “I’m not afraid of Ozempic, and I will tell you I have had an experience that was not good — and I’m pretty positive it was about the semaglutide — where I had to go to the hospital for an impacted bowel … and I’m still not nervous about it.”
Jennifer Fessler Says That She Is Partly To Blame For Her Condition…
Fessler went on to say that constipation can be one of the side effects of Ozempic, which she had to suffer from for a while. She explained, “I was drinking no water, eating no vegetables because something that happens, a new experience for me, is being able to eat what I want even when it’s not the most healthy choice and still lose weight.”
She also blamed herself for “ignoring” the signs that she was constipated, “Having said that, I noticed there was constipation, I didn’t do anything about it. I wasn’t taking Miralax, that you take every morning, or any kind of stool softener.”
“I hadn’t gone in a week, then it was a week and a half,” she added.
But Fessler admitted that she has changed her ways, and according to her, “I haven’t had a problem since.”
Other Side Effects Of Weight Loss Drug And What Does Goldschneider Think Of It…
On Monday’s episode, Goldschneider also mentioned that muscle loss is another side effect of the weight loss drug Ozempic. Jennifer revealed that she also experienced some muscle loss, but she got the issue checked out by a medical professional. She has also hired a personal trainer.
While Fessler spoke very candidly about her experience, Goldschneider revealed that she does not approve of the weight loss drug.
“I am an outspoken advocate for eating disorder recovery and a very strong opponent of semaglutides for losing those last 10 pounds,” Goldschnieder said during Monday’s episode.
“I think it’s a very dangerous trend, but out of respect for each other and our friendship, we have never discussed it,” she added.
