RRR Actor Ray Stevenson Dies At 58 – SS Rajamouli Expresses Shock And Grief

The Northern Irish actor who played the role of the atrocious British governor in RRR, the powerful Volstagg in the Thor movies, and the main antagonist in Ahsoka, an upcoming Star Wars series, has shockingly passed away only at 58.
Stevenson’s representative mentioned that the talented actor passed away on Sunday, just 4 days before he turned 59.
La Repubblica, an Italian newspaper, reported that the RRR actor was rushed to the hospital after he suddenly became ill on the sets of Cassino In Ischia, in the Italian island of Ischia. Lewis wasn’t the only one to pay tribute. Stevenson’s RRR director, SS Rajamouli, was also shocked to hear this terrible news and expressed his grief on Twitter.
“Just can’t believe this news. Ray brought in so much energy and vibrancy with him to the sets. It was infectious. Working with him was pure joy. My prayers are with his family. May his soul rest in peace.”

“Ray Stevenson, the burly British actor who starred as Volstagg in the Thor movies and as the governor in the recent Oscar-winning Indian hit RRR, has died. He was 58.”
