South Indian Actor Puneeth Rajkumar Passes Away

Today is a sad day for the Kannada film industry as their star actor, Puneeth Rajkumar, has passed away? The actor had a cardiac arrest on Friday, and he took his final breath at the hospital. He was only 46 years old, so the news of his demise has sent shockwaves to his fans.

Puneeth Rajkumar’s Untimely Demise

Puneeth Rajkumar’s untimely death has certainly shocked his fans, who used to adore him with nicknames like ‘Appu’ and ‘Power Star.’ According to PM Narendra Modi, this Kannada superstar has been taken away from his fans by a cruel twist of fate. He took some time off his schedule to mourn for this superstar’s death on Twitter and said it was not an age to go.

We agree with him because the star has been taken away from us just when he was at the peak of his career. Chief Minister of Karnataka, Basavaraj S Bommai, also publicly acknowledged the actor’s death and further announced that the whole state would honor the actor’s final rites.

A lot of South Indian actors have joined hands to mourn the death of their co-actor. Some of the prominent names are Mahesh Babu, Jr NTR, Prithviraj Sukumaran, R Madhavan, Dulquer Salmaan, Lakshmi Manchu,  and Chiranjeevi. Fans still remember him as the noblest film star ever, so we bet everyone is in shock that they had to lose this icon so fast.

Puneeth’s Career Graph

Puneeth began his acting career as a child artist, and at that time, he used to work with his father. However, being a child artist to becoming a Kannada superstar has not always been easy. Nevertheless, he has shown impeccable performance in movies like Bettada Hoovu in 1985.

It was one of his finest performances and made him win the National Film Award for Best Child Artist. Puneeth also gave commendable performances in films like Chalisuva Modagalu and Yeradu Nakshatragalu and won the Karnataka State Award for Best Child Artist.

In his entire career, Puneeth starred in more than 29 Kannada films. His most commercially successful movies include Appu, Mourya, Abhi, Veera Kannadiga, Aakash, Arasu, Ajay, Vamshi, Milana, Raam, Jackie, Hudugaru, Anjani Putra, and Raajakumara.

What We Think

The South Indian film industry is devastated by the loss of such an outstanding actor. However, like many of his fans, and co-stars we also wish his wife and children to stay strong during this phase. We hope they overcome this loss and move on with their life. But, the same may not be said about his fans who are still processing this unfortunate loss.
