It’s official!!! After 20 years, the cast of Harry Potter is slated to reunite for a reunion special to commemorate the franchise’s 20th anniversary. The first teaser was recently published, and it depicts the characters of the film receiving their letters stating that they will be returning to Hogwarts. The trailer also says that the event will happen on January 1, 2022.
Harry Potter’s 20th Anniversary Celebration Bash
The Harry Potter cast is finally reuniting. A recent teaser has shown Robbie Coltrane, who played the role of Hagrid, and Mark Williams, who played the role of Arthur Weasley, are boarding the Hogwarts Express, which runs from London’s King’s Cross Station to Hogsmeade station near Hogwarts.
The first trailer also highlights the cast members on the reunion special, including Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, and Rupert Grint, who play the lead roles.
Other notable characters on the guest list include Helena Bonham Carter, Tom Felton, Ralph Fiennes, Gary Oldman, and director Chris Columbus. The teaser itself is nostalgic, transporting Harry Potter fans back to the beginning of the movie series.
Fans of the series and the books will shriek with delight at glimpses of the Hogwarts Express and mail with the Hogwarts stamp.
While the cast members’ names are on the list of those who will appear in the reunion special, author J.K.Rowling’s name is absent. The author has recently been embroiled in controversy for statements she made on social media that have been labeled as transphobic. As a result, it’s unclear if Rowling will appear in the HBO Max reunion special or not as well.
Harry Potter has become one of the most successful fantasy film series of all time after ten years and eight films. The first film in the franchise was released 20 years ago, on November 16, 2021.
The extra feature of this event will take viewers behind the scenes of the series production. Spot features, interviews, and cast interactions are also included as additional entertainment for Harry Potter fans.
What We Think
According to HBO, Max, Radcliffe, Watson, Grint, and director Chris Columbus will return to Hogwarts on Harry Potter’s 20th Anniversary. Potterheads all over the world are shivering in excitement as they will once again get to see the entire cast of the film after all these years. Although the presence of J.K.Rowling would have made them even more memorable, we are not sure if she will appear in the screening or not. If we get more updates on it, we will inform you.
