Chakda Xpress: Biopic Of Jhulan Goswami Is In Process, Anushka To Play The Lead
Bollywood Actress and Mrs. Cricketer Anushka Sharma is all set to come back to the Hindi Film Industry after 3 long years with Chakda Xpress. The film is inspired by the life and times of Jhulan Goswami, the former Indian Cricket Captain. Netflix will be streaming this biopic, and they have already released the teaser on Youtube.
What Is Chakda Xpress All About?
The Anushka Sharma-starrer film Chakda Xpress, follows the life chronicles of one of the fastest female pacers in global cricket history, Miss Jhulan Goswami. It will narrate how she rises through the ranks over the numerous obstacles created by chauvinist politicians to play cricket, her sole ambition.

Anushka herself and her brother Karnesh Sharma are producing the film which is being directed by Prosit Roy. Chakda Xpress is a dramatic portrayal of various tough incidents that marked Goswami’s life, Sharma said on Instagram. She also highlighted that it’s a privilege for her to play the role of the Legend, Jhulan Goswami.
What’s Jhulan Goswami Thinking About The Movie?
Goswami, who is originally from Chakdaha, Nadia, West Bengal, has some high hopes for this movie. She commented, “Chakda Xpress is now filming. Meet you on the field.”
The all-rounder also said it makes no difference to her if a man’s accomplishments get repeated precedence over her own. It doesn’t even matter whether the stadiums are empty, the cricketer added. When she first goes onto the pitch to bowl, all she sees is the opponent wielding a cricket bat and the wickets she must eliminate.
