It’s Confirmed! Farhan Akhtar To Debut In MCU With Disney’s ‘Ms Marvel’ Series

After a plethora of tittle-tattles, it’s confirmed that Bollywood’s multi-hyphenate Farhan Akhtar would play in the Disney+ Series under Marvel Studios – Ms. Marvel. This would be the first step for the actor-director in Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).

Farhan Akhtar Will Be Seen In MCU Now

It’s Deadline who first covered the news of his grand entrance into the MCU. However, the international online news media has not yet revealed many details about his role. Till now, it’s only confirmed that Farhan will be seen as a ‘guest starring role.’ The Ms. Marvel Trailer was revealed earlier this year, introducing Iman Vellani, AKA Ms. Marvel, as MCU’s first Muslim superhero.

Is There Any Other Exciting Addition?

Apart from Farhan, Fawad khan will also be seen in the mix. Nevertheless, he had previously confirmed that he was selected for the Marvel Project.

Fawad said, “Yeah, I am. Woh toh main deny nahi kar sakta, ab toh main jhooth nahi bol sakta, woh toh unhone khud news laga di hai (I can’t deny that or lie about it because they have put out the news themselves).”

Other than Iman. Fawad, and Farhan, the series would also cast Aramis Knight, Saagar Shaikh, Mohan Kapur, Zenobia Shroff, Rish Shaikh, Matt Lintz, Yasmeen Fletcher, Laith Nakli, Travina Springer, Nimra Bucha, and Azhar Usman. Ms. Marvel is all set to premiere on Disney+ on June 8, 2022.  

Meanwhile, Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness has already crashed in the theatres on May 6th. Needless to say, the Benedict Cumberbatch starrer had a splendid first day at the box office in India with an opening earning of ₹27.5 crores. In the US, Doctor Strange 2 opened to USD $36 million in Thursday previews itself.
