Son Misses Imprisoned Grandparents, Lindsie says ‘God Has A Plan’
Lindsie is heartbroken, while opening up about the reaction her son had on knowing that his grandparents have been imprisoned.
The 33-year-old mother took to Instagram to share her thoughts on the struggles she was facing as a mom. She is currently co-parenting Jackson, 11 with her ex-husband Will Campbell. She mentioned how the imprisonment of her parents, Todd Chrisley and Julie Chrisley had taken a toll on her son. Lindsie is Todd’s daughter with ex-wife Teresa Terry.
The Chrisleys have been sentenced to serve a combined 19 years behind bars. Found guilty of tax evasion and fraud in November 2022, they have been in prison since. Todd began serving his sentence at Federal Prison Camp Pensacola in January whereas Julie, 50 is set to spend the next seven years at Federal Correctional Institution and Federal Prison Camp Marianna in Florida. She is also set to serve 16 months on probation when she is released from prison.
Lindsie wrote, “On our way to the beach, I saw Jackson notice the signs to Pensacola, Florida and began looking around without saying much to me… I noticed he was watching my body language and facial expressions as he always does. He asked me if he could open the sunroof to ‘feel his papa’s air.’”
She further admitted that she is “forever trying to do what you think is best without knowing the outcome is incredibly difficult.” Lindsie stresses on the “hard decisions parents face daily are not talked about enough.”
“Knowing Jackson misses his grandparents, even seeing that he has sent them text messages to phones they don’t have when I turn off his phone at night absolutely shatters me”… “Knowing my decision regarding Jackson visiting my parents in the prison environment is based on what the court decides regarding their appeal is causing more heartache. I trust God has a plan,” Lindsie elaborated the difficulties she faced raising her son on the daily, knowing his grandparents are behind bars.
Lindsie has not been too forthright about her father’s imprisonment like her other siblings, however she did reveal back in April that Todd had made “great friends” in prison.
