7 Years Later: Splitsville for Sofia Vergara and Joe Manganiello

Sofia Vergara and Joe Manganiello have decided to separate after 7 years of marriage. The couple announced that they have decided to go their separate ways. 

Issuing a joint statement on Monday, Page Six reported of them “We have made the difficult decision to divorce. As two people that love and care for one another very much, we politely ask for respect of our privacy at this time as we navigate this new phase of our lives.” (sic)

The news outlet has reported that they have been drifting apart from each other for a while now. They are spending time away from each other to understand their next step better and move forward in their respective lives. 

The actors started dating in 2014 and got engaged 6 months later. In 2015 they took their vows. Sofia and Joe do not have any children together but Sofia does have a son from a previous relationship. She was in a long-term relationship with Nick Loeb, which turned out to be a fiasco at the end with the long drawn embryo case. 

This is Sofia’s second marriage and Joe’s first. The two have been invariably considered a Hollywood power couple. Vergara has been on a long holiday off-shore for her 51st birthday. She may have intentionally or not, been portraying herself to be single in her latest photos on her socials. Joe, being absent from all of the scenes, has been busy shooting on the East Coast, for his upcoming film starring Vince Vaughn. 

Sofia’s photos have been particularly provocative, suggesting her singlehood. Her photos in bathing suits have raised some eyebrows  as to her intentions. They were particularly in love in the initial years but time seems to have taken its toll.
