Madonna’s Boxer Boyfriend Josh Popper Joins Her Onstage During ‘Celebration’ Tour’s Brooklyn Stop
Madonna kicked off the North American leg of her ‘Celebration Tour’ on Wednesday night at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. And even though the ‘Queen of Pop’ started the show three hours late, she had a surprise waiting for her fans in the form of her boxer boyfriend Josh Popper.
The Pop Icon invited Josh to join her onstage during the ‘Vogue’ segment of her show. During this portion of the show, the couple sat down side by side onstage with scorecards in their hands to judge the dancers performing her 1990 hit classic ‘Vogue.’
The duo could be seen having a good time, and at one point during the performance, Madonna even reached up to plant a kiss on Josh’s cheek in front of a crowd of 14,000.
During the performance of ‘Vogue,’ Madonna was dressed in a tight black mini corset dress decorated with lots of silver sequins and sheer tights. She had multiple costume changes during the duration of the show. Her hair was styled like a retro bob. Josh Popper opted for a street-style look. He wore a graphic t-shirt, ripped jeans, and rosaries around his neck.
The 65-year-old pop icon was first linked with Popper back in February. Soon after, Madonna publicly announced her romance with the 29-year-old boxer by sharing snaps of her and her beau on her instagram story.
Brooklyn was the first stop in the US leg of her ‘celebration tour,’ which included 79 stops in total. The tour will wrap up in Mexico in spring.
