Margot Robbie Recalls How She Screamed “F**k You” At DiCaprio After Improvising

The debut of Margot Robbie in Hollywood happened with the movie “About Time.” But she actually got fame for playing Naomi in the movie Wolf of Wall Street. Martin Scorsese directed the movie, and it was nominated for an Oscar, getting Robbie into the spotlight with her amazing performance.

The Barbie actress told Harper’s Bazaar in an interview how she got the role for herself in the movie. She talked about a scene where she smacked Leonardo DiCaprio and how she improvised the scene.

She mentioned, “So I walk up really close to his face, and then I’m like, ‘Maybe I should kiss him. When else am I ever going to get a chance to kiss Leo DiCaprio, ever?‘ But another part of my brain clicks, and I just go, ‘Whack!’ I hit him in the face. And then I scream, ‘F–k you!’ And that’s not in the script at all. The room just went dead silent, and I froze.”

She mentioned how she had no idea about the reaction of the filmmakers of the movie and DiCaprio as well. However, she regretted her decision afterward. She remembered, “I’m thinking, ‘You just hit Leonardo DiCaprio in the face. They’re going to arrest you because that’s assault. You’re definitely never going to work again, that’s for sure. They’ll probably sue you as well in case there’s a bruise on his face, and he needs to film something else.”

But things worked in her favor, and the improvisation was appreciated on set. She said, “Marty says, ‘That was great!’ Leo’s like, ‘Hit me again!‘” it has been reported that Ryan Gosling and Margot Robbie are going to be cast together again for Oceans 11 prequel after their amazing performance in Barbie.
