Matthew Perry Buried Alongside Notable Names In Hollywood After A Private Funeral Service
On Saturday, November 4, Matthew Perry was laid to final rest after a private funeral service at the Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Los Angeles, California, in the presence of friends and family. Perry’s fellow cast mates from the ‘Friends’ TV series – Jennifer Anniston, Courtney Cox, Matt Le Blanc, and David Schwimmer also attended Perry’s funeral service.
According to a well-connected industry source, while all five cast members are missing Perry and mourning his untimely demise, Courtney Cox and Jennifer Anniston are reeling the most. Anniston’s friends are worried about her because she is struggling after Matthew Perry’s death.
Perry’s family has not disclosed the specific location of his final burial place because of privacy reasons. However, as reported by TMZ, Matthew Perry’s casket is kept in a private section of the Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The place is known as the Sanctuary of Treasured Love.
This section is also the final resting place of several other notable names of Hollywood, which is another reason for maintaining privacy. Matthew Perry has been laid to rest alongside Carrie Fisher, Ronnie James Dio (Black Sabbath), Michael Clarke Duncan, and Debbie Reynolds.
After Friday’s Funeral Service, a large arrangement of flowers was placed near Matthew Perry’s gravesite within the memorial. But the flower arrangement was removed sometime Tuesday, and in pictures taken by TMZ, it can be seen that there is nothing on the plot.
There is no headstone as yet to officially mark Matthew’s final resting place. But that is not unusual because headstones are completed and placed on the gravesite after some time. So there is no way for the public to identify Matthew’s plot.
But that hasn’t stopped the die-hard fans of ‘Friends’ from paying respect to their beloved Chandler Bing. After the news of his untimely demise became known, fans from all over the world have left handwritten notes and flowers on a makeshift memorial outside 90 Bedford St. in the West Village. The exterior of this building is featured in the NBC sitcom ‘Friends.’
