Mitchel Musso Of Hannah Montana-Fame Was Arrested On Theft And Public Intoxication Charges
Mitchel Musso, best known for playing Oliver Oken on Disney’s Hannah Montana, was arrested by the police on charges of theft and public intoxication after an argument on Saturday night in Rockwall, Texas. According to the press release of Rockwall Police Department, the arrest happened after someone actually reported a disturbance taking place at a local hotel.
The 32-year-old actor allegedly entered the local hotel and took a packet of chips without paying for the same. The Hannah Montana alum appeared to be intoxicated, and when he was asked to make the payment, he became verbally abusive and left without making any payment, as per reports. After this incident took place, the police were called to the scene.
The Rockwall police identified Musso outside that hotel itself, where he displayed multiple signs of being intoxicated and was subsequently arrested on two counts – theft under $100 and public intoxication. At the time, a background check was done on Musso, which revealed that the actor had multiple outstanding traffic warrants.
Mitchell was then taken to Rockwall County Detention Center, where he spent a night in jail. On Sunday afternoon, the actor had to post a bond worth $1000 before obtaining release.
USA TODAY did reach out to the representatives of Musso for a comment. Musso starred alongside Miley Cyrus, Jason Earles, and Emily Osment between 2006 and 2011 in Hannah Montana. In 2016, Musso took to the internet and celebrated his love for his former colleagues and the sitcom, marking the show’s tenth anniversary. At the time, Musso wrote on social media, “When I think of family, I think of you girls. Thank you for always being my best and always having my back.”
