Selena Gomez Dropped Single Soon: The Popstar Is Single And Ready To Mingle!
No boyfriend? Not a single problem!
On Thursday, at midnight, Selena Gomez dropped a new dance track called ‘Single Soon’ where the beautiful pop star makes it very clear that she is absolutely single and, more importantly, ready to mingle.
Gomez Just Dropped Single Soon!
A 31-year-old Gomez sings on the upbeat and sultry song, “I‘m picking out this dress/ Trying on these shoes/ ‘Cause I’ll be single soon/ I’ll be single soon.” (produced by Cashmere Cat and Benny Blanco).
Earlier on Thursday, Gomez had posted a fun sneak peek of her latest music video with an assist from Gracie Teefey, her 10-year-old little sister. In the Instagram clip, Gracie says, “Hi. Love you, sissy. Never worry about boyfriends. At all.”
The Rare Beauty owner and founder announced the new track only last week, telling her fans that she is still working on her upcoming much-awaited solo album. She wrote on Instagram, “Since I’m not quite done with SG3, I wanted to put out a fun little song I wrote a while back that’s perfect for the end of summer.”
Selena Hasn’t Released Anything Solo For Sometime Now:
In 2020, after releasing Rare, Gomez had followed up her album with Revelación, her record in the Spanish language, which also earned a nomination as the Best Latin Pop Album at the 2022 Grammys.
While Gomez has not released any solo album since then, The Fundamentals of Caring actress teamed up with the talented Rema only last year on their number-one hit song, ‘Calm Down,’ which went triple-platinum recently.
Earlier this year, the Love You Like a Love Song singer opened up to Vanity Fair about her new music, telling the publication that she is leaning into “really powerful, strong, very pop sounds.”
She further added, “The theme generally is freedom — freedom from relationships, freedom from darkness. If I had my way, I would probably write ballads my whole life, but I want to produce music that will make people smile.”
