Himmat Is Back With His Own Story: Special Ops 1.5 Trailer Is Out Now

The Hotstar original show ‘Special Ops’ is coming with a sequel soon on the OTT platform. As you probably know, Kay Kay Menon is playing the lead role in this show of Himmat Singh’s character. This sequel will see the storyline shifting towards Himmat Singh’s backstory, so fans are waiting patiently for its release.

What To Expect From The Sequel?

Kay Kay Menon will also reprise Himmat Singh’s role in this sequel as he did in the initial episodes. We will see the original story of Himmat Singh and how he ended up in the intelligence agency R&AW.

As the trailer dropped recently on the internet, we could not help predict how the show would take its course. However, we see in the trailer that some investigators are questioning Abbas Sheikh as they want to know more details on Himmat Singh, followed by the events in the previous season.

But, what surprises fans the most, is the Bollywood star Aftab Shivdasani is coming to play a role in this sequel. As soon as the trailer featured this star, fans went absolutely crazy. As far as our predictions go, we think Aftab will partner with Kay Kay Menon to conduct a globe-trotting investigation, which will retain Himmat Singh’s place as the top office. 

What Is Kay Kay Menon’s Reaction?

When we asked Kay Kay Menon about the Neeraj Pandey show and his role as Himmat Singh, he said it had been a different experience for him. He also said that the show is doing a great job to reveal why Himmat Singh is the way he is as an R&AW agent. 

If we go back to our memories of him in the previous season, we are used to Himmat Singh’s brilliance and shortcomings while he is doing his job. However, the way Himmat’s character is portrayed as a resilient office with an undying strive to complete his mission is something Menon truly fascinates.

Kay Kay also revealed that the sequel would explore more of a boyish side of Himmat Singh’s sturdy personality. It was difficult for him to play as he had to transform his personality to a polar opposite character than what he is used to playing in the show, but he had to keep the inherent grain of Himmat’s nature intact. So, the role has been quite challenging for the actor so far.

What We Think

Special Ops 1.5 has already gained immense popularity in OTT subscribers, which is why the sequel is generating more great vibes in fans. On top of that, it will be great to watch Aftab Shivdasani making a comeback on screen, and that also on such a different project. We hope the sequel releases soon because we can’t wait anymore to know the backstory of fan-favorite Himmat Singh.
