He had better show her a teasing, squeezing, pleasing kinda of time.
Taylor Swift seemed to actually send a rumored boyfriend, Travis Kelce, a fun, winking message with her exact choice of outfit on Tuesday, stepping out in New York City in a $88 vintage-inspired Daydreamer T-shirt sporting the title as well as the promotional art of Shania Twain’s mega hit, Any Man Of Mine, from 1995.
In her classic country song, Twain talks about her dream man in detail, singing that her perfect mate must accept her major flaws, treat her right, and embrace her indecisiveness amidst other key qualities.
Choice lyrics include “I can be late for a date — that’s fine. / But he’d better be on time…When I cook him dinner, and I burn it, black / He’d better say, ‘Mmmm, I like it like that.”
Considering Twain has been Swift’s musical hero for a long time now – the Gorgeous singer gave Twain a sweet should in 2021 on TikTok and even invited her earlier this year to the Eras Tour – it is obvious she just wanted to express some love for her fellow country-crossover sensation with her look.
But it would not be the very first time that Swift dropped clues on her clothes. In the middle of September, only mere days after rumors started going around about whether or not the pair was dating, the pop phenomenon wore a Foundrae necklace suspended with an opal – the opal is basically Kelce’s birthstone.
She was also seen rocking the Kansas City Chiefs colors from head to toe while cheering her new boyfriend at Arrowhead Stadium from his suite late last month – she also completed her look with a pair of New Balance 550 sneakers that cost $110 in white, black, and red.
The support is kind of mutual – while coming to the same game, Kelce sported a blue-and-white denim look from the KidSuper Studios – the brand had renamed the 1989 Bedroom Painting set swiftly in the singer’s honor.
After all, if we have to paraphrase Twain, her man should be proud of her.
