50 Cent Is Suspected Of Criminal Battery For Throwing Mic, Hitting Spectator
50 Cent takes the Cardi B route during his Los Angeles concert. He throws his broken mic in frustration at the crowd that smacked a fan on the head.
The rapper was on the stage at Crypto.com Arena on Wednesday night. It was a part of his “Final Lap” tour 2023. While he performed, he was handed several mics that weren’t working. That clearly triggered him.
According to the footage obtained, 50 gets on the stage with a mic in hand to join YG, who was already performing. 50 turns to one side of the stage and suddenly hurls the mic, striking a woman in the head.
Sources who were present said that he wasn’t targeting the woman, but he hit her nonetheless. Sources close to 50 said the women were not supposed to be in the restricted area.
Photos of the victim are being circulated on Instagram, showing a gash in her forehead, wrapped in bloody towels.
Police reports have been filed by the victim, Bryhana Monegain, Power 106 radio host. 50’s attorney, Scott Leemon, told TMZ, “Let’s be very clear, as I told LAPD this afternoon, my client Curtis (AKA 50 Cent) would never intentionally strike anyone with a microphone. Anyone saying something different doesn’t have all the facts and is misinformed.”
Recently, Cardi B was in a similar incident where she tossed her mic at a fan who threw a drink at her during her Las Vegas show. The mic hit and reeled off something to hit another stander nearby. The person filed a police report, but Cardi B was cleared of the charges.
