Charity Lawson Joins Dancing With The Stars Season 32 After Appearing On The Bachelorette
Charity Lawson is ready to put on her glittery dancing shoes and win some hearts!
The Bachelorette star is ready to join Dancing With The Stars Season 32 with her new fiancé, Dotun Olubeko. The pair revealed the news on Monday night after getting engaged during the finale episode of Season 20 of the ABC dating show.
Olubeko broke the ‘news’ to Lawson, “So I know you like to cut up, you like to dance, and you like to get down. And you know that we’ve talked about this, about how amazing this opportunity would be, and I am so happy to be the one to tell you that you’re going to be on Dancing with the Stars.”
The official Instagram accounts for Dancing With The Stars and The Bachelorette confirmed the exciting news with the caption, “A whole new journey begins for @CharityLawson as she joins ‘Dancing with the Stars,’ coming this fall, LIVE on ABC and Disney+! Stream the next day on Hulu. 🌹✨ #DWTS #TheBachelorette.”
Many Congratulated The Pair:
Plenty of former competitors and pro dancers took to the comments section and congratulated Lawson, including Kaitlyn Bristowe, the Bachelorette alum who won the mirrorball trophy of Season 29 with Artem Chigvintsev.
She wrote, “Yes, yes, yes, yesssssss!” while pro dancers Peta Murgatroyd and Emma Slater both added, “LETS GOOOO!!!!”
The thrilling announcement came only moments after fans saw Olubeko getting down on one knee during the much-anticipated finale of The Bachelorette. Lawson did say ‘yes’ to Olubeko’s proposal after bidding goodbye to Joey Graziadei, the other contestant who was named the lead for the Season 28 of the show.
Olubeko to Lawson, “You have been able to make me feel so incredibly special. You have made me feel adored and validated, and wanted. And to receive that from a woman of your caliber, Charity, I don’t think you understand what that means to me. But I’m certain that I want to spend the rest of my life showing you. The love that we have is perfect. And so, Ms. Charity Lawson, would you do me the honor of turning the fairytale into a reality?”
The Pair Will Be Joined At DWTS By Other Celebs:
In this season of DWTS, Charity will join another reality TV celebrity in the ballroom – yep, we are talking about Ariana Madix, the star of Vanderpump Rules. Madix confirmed the news of her joining the show in July via a promo video that was subsequently aired on Good Morning America.
Derek Hough said in the video, “This season on Dancing with the Stars, we are going absolutely mad – mad for Madix.” And Madix immediately added, “I will be joining the cast of ‘Dancing with the Stars’ this season!”
The complete list of celebs who will be joining the ballroom this season will be announced on Wednesday, the 13th of September, on GMA before the show returns on Disney+ and ABC this fall.
As per previous reports of Page Six, this DWTS season will be hosted by Alfonso Ribeiro and Julianne Hough post the departure of Tyra Banks. Bruno Tonioli, Carrie Ann Inaba, and Derek will be back as judges of the show, while the pros of the season are yet to be announced.
