Emma Roberts Apologized To Angelica Ross For Making A Transphobic Comment On Set

Emma Roberts made a transphobic comment about Angelica Ross on the set of the FX series. She accused her in front of all the members present on set and later apologized for her behavior.

Ross confirmed that with a comment on X saying, “Thank you [Emma] for calling and apologizing, recognizing your behavior was not that of an ally. I will leave the line open to follow up on your desire to do better and support social justice causes with your platform.”

Ross did not discuss in detail her phone conversation with Roberts. She tweeted a day after she threw the accusations at Ross. She came live on Instagram this Tuesday and informed her followers that Roberts misgendered her.

Ross said she was “standing in front of Emma talking to her,” and Roberts called the crew and said, “John! Angelica’s being mean. And I know she’s not being for real, for real — she’s just being whatever — and John is like, ‘OK, ladies, that’s enough, let’s get back to work.’ And [Roberts] then looks at me and goes, ‘Don’t you mean lady?”

Ross was trying to process what she said, and Roberts walked away from the situation. She further said, “Because … if I say something, it’s going to be me that’s the problem. And I know this because there was someone who spoke up about what she was doing, and they got repercussions from it.”

She added, “Not her, they did. So when I saw that happen, I was just like, ‘I’m done. I’m done.’ I didn’t speak to that bitch the entire time after that.” Ross also recalled, “So we had scenes together, and I never spoke to her, and she said to me — she could feel the energy coming off of me — and she was like, ‘Are you OK? You haven’t been talking.”

Ross last appeared in Season 10 of the popular anthology series by Ryan Murphy, and she is going to come back in season 12 alongside Kim Kardashian.
