Family Of Ana Claire Benevides, Came To Attend Swift’s Third Show In Brazil
Ana Clara Benevides, the young woman who passed away at Taylor Swift’s Rio concert on November 17, has shuttered Swift. But her family was seen attending Swift’s final concert in Brazil.
On Sunday, a video was posted on X that showed Ana’s family coming together in the VIP tent at Allianz Parque stadium, and all of them wore matching T-shirts with the 23-year-old’s face on them.
It is not clear if Swift’s team personally invited them, as her team did not respond yet to this. As it was previously reported, the college student died of cardiac arrest at Swift’s Rio concert. She was “resuscitated at the stadium for about 40 minutes” before she was transported to the hospital, as reported by the Brazilian newspaper Folha de S.Paulo.
She had another heart attack when they were taking her to the hospital, but she did not survive the second one and was declared dead shortly after she was taken to the hospital. After the news of her fan’s death, she posted an emotional letter on her Instagram story.

She wrote, “I can’t believe I’m writing these words, but it is with a shattered heart that I say we lost a fan earlier tonight before my show. I can’t even tell you how devastated I am by this.”
She also mentioned that she would not be able to talk about it on stage as it would get her overwhelmed. Even though she never mentioned her on stage, she began her performance on November 19 with “Bigger Than The Whole Sky,” which fans are saying was a tribute to Benevides.
Weiny Machado, Benevide’s father, talked about her death to the local outlet and said, “I lost my only daughter, a happy and intelligent girl. She was about to graduate in psychology next April, saving money. I have no words to express my pain. She left home to fulfill a dream and came back dead.”
He also mentioned that he wanted the police to investigate the matter as he heard that the Rio stadium did not allow the fans to bring water with them during that heat wave. He added, “I want it to be found out whether they were, in fact, prohibited from bringing water, whether there was negligence in providing assistance.”
