Kevin Costner Steps Out With Son For Breakfast After Winning Child Support Battle Against Christine B
Kevin Costner has spoken out about his split from Christine Baumgartner for the first time since divorce in May.
The Yellowstone alum spoke to Access Hollywood after his child support win on Friday, “This is a horrible place to be, but this is where we’re at.”
On winning, he said outside of the courtroom, “It feels so bad. We’re talking about somebody I love on the other side. I just can’t.”
The outlet asked whether Costner “still has love” for Christine, to which he replied, “Of course.”
The Oscar winner even noted that he “wasn’t…. Laughing” about their divorce proceedings despite cracking a joke in the witness box.
Baumgartner’s lawyer accused Costner of withholding money from his ex-wife. “We’ll have to have a treasure hunt to find it,” he quipped.
Costner has addressed his split from the handbag designer on the stand (as well as court documents), but his remarks on Friday marked his first public address of the breakup since Baumgartner filed for divorce in May.
The former couple have since engaged in messy accusations. Costner even claimed that Christine is dating his close friend Josh Conner, whom she vacationed with in July.
Costner has also accused the model of receiving $20,000 in cash from the financier.
Christine has, on her part, accused Costner of “withholding” evidence of his finances, which Cotsner has denied on the stand.
She fled a request that Costner pay $175,057 in monthly installments for their 3 kids– Cayden, 16, Hayes, 14, and Grace, 13, which she reduced to $161,592.
Baumgartner declared at that time that luxury “is in their DNA at this point.”
According to the court ruling on Friday, Costner will have to pay $63,209 per month in child support. Christine is yet to speak on the matter who wanted the number to be $248,000 a month back in June.
