Matt LeBlanc Photographed Driving, First Time After The Tragic Death Of Matthew Perry
Matt LeBlanc was first spotted after the tragic death of Matthew Perry, his “Friends” co-star, who passed away at the age of 54 from a drowning incident. LeBlanc was photographed driving around California on Wednesday.
He tried to hide his face with dark sunglasses and a hat and seemed disheartened while he was driving. Both Perry and LeBlanc worked together for a long time for the hit sitcom “Friends.” Matthew Perry played the role of Chandler Bing, and Matt LeBlanc played the character of Joey Tribbiani.
Just like the characters, LeBlanc and Perry were good friends in real life as well. In an interview with People, Matt called Matthew his brother back in 2015. He is the third one who stepped out after the tragic incident. Courtney Cox and David Schwimmer were spotted earlier this week.
The cast considers each other as family and released a joint statement after Perry’s death last Monday. Lisa Kudrow, Jennifer Anniston, Cox, LeBlanc, and Schwimmer wrote, “We are all so utterly devastated by the loss of Matthew. We were more than just cast mates. We are a family. There is so much to say, but right now we’re going to take a moment to grieve and process this unfathomable loss.”
They continued, “In time, we will say more, as and when we are able. For now, our thoughts and our love are with Matty’s family, his friends, and everyone who loved him around the world.”
It was Perry’s assistant who found him dead in his Los Angeles home, in the jacuzzi on Saturday afternoon. Law enforcement said there was no foul play, and no illegal drugs were found on the scene. But they found some prescription pills, like anti-anxiety and anti-depression pills.
Though there was an autopsy conducted, the reports are yet to be released. Athena Crosby, who had dinner with Perry just 24 hours before his death, said that Perry “was in extremely good spirits” and “was so happy and vibrant.”
