Meek Mill and Drake Reunite at His Concert Eight Years After Their Feud!
Meek Mill and Drake’s beef is in the past.
On Monday, Mill walked beside Drake in Philadelphia at the It’s All a Blur Tour. While the Philadelphia native did not perform, he did get a shoutout from Drake. Drake opened up about their 2015 feud – and how it’s all in the past now!
Drake told the audience at Wells Fargo Center, “Y’all see who I walked out here with, right? I’d always keep it 100 with you. The last time I was in this building, that man right here, he’s been representing this city since he started this s—. That man, me and him weren’t getting along at the time, and he is a real n—- , so he definitely got us up out of Philly real quick. We did not get to stick around and chill.”
The Hotline Bling rapper spoke at length about his appreciation for his bond with Mill coming to a full circle. “It means the most to me that I could come back to this city and show the growth as two men that we can come here tonight and we can represent for motherf——- Philadelphia together.”
Drake also praised his collaborator with the words, “That’s what this s— is about.”
This was definitely not the first time that the audience had seen the two artists onstage joining forces since they ended their feud publicly. Drake had invited Mill on stage in September 2018 – this was a signal that the past was actually behind them. Plus, the Degrassi alum had also posted a photo of them on Instagram, marking reconciliation.
The photo’s caption read, “This really gave me peace of mind tonight. Healing and moving forward created one of the most electric and gratifying moments of my career.”
During 2015 Summer, Mill accused Drake of taking the help of a ghostwriter after joining forces on the Bugatti artist’s single, R.I.C.O. Back then, Drake had responded with two diss tracks, calling the accusations ‘Back to Back’ and ‘Charged Up.’
In December 2019, Drake did a two-hour-long interview with Rap Radar revealing his problems with Mill, mentioning that the father of one was just in a terrible place. Drake had also recalled that Mill was upset that he had not attended a scheduled show.
During this conversation with Brian “B. Dot” Miller and Elliott Wilson, Drake said, “I don’t like to glorify the situation or talk about it too much. Meek’s really about that. I know obviously he’s made a change in his life, but I’ll be the first to tell you that Meek’s that guy for real. I wasn’t beefing with no punk. For us to be able to turn that around, [it] was a big thing. I think we both felt an obligation because we know how far it was going and almost went.”
