Migos Rapper Quavo Cuffed On Yacht In Possible Armed Robbery Incident: Video

Two men allegedly threatened the boat’s captain, with Quavo on board in Miami. Videos have surfaced showing the rapper seemingly detained, with no reports of arrests. Entertainment gossip outlet TMZ obtained footage from the incident on Sunday on the Miami River, where Quavo can be seen handcuffed in zip ties, sitting on the boat deck. He seems to be interacting with at least three police officials. 

The Miami police received a 911 emergency call reporting an alleged armed robbery on a yacht. The cops were told that there were two men who got aggressive with the captain on being told that the rental time was nearing its limit. The men immediately demanded a refund. 

One of the men threatened to “kill” the captain and “throw him off” the vessel if he tried to turn the boat around or their charter money was not returned. One of the crew members even reported having seen a man take the captain/s wallet and mobile phone, but the statements were contradictory on this allegation. 

The video shows a group of women sitting on the dock while police lights flash. Quavo is seen sitting near the officers, hands behind his back. The cops found two firearms on the yacht, but they were not used in the alleged threats. 

Attorney for the Migos rapper, Drew Findling, told TMZ, “To be clear Quavo was NOT mentioned in the police report narrative. Not only was Quavo NOT arrested, he is not even listed as a witness to any alleged dispute. Ultimately, no one on the boat was arrested. There is no story here regarding Quavo and any incident.”

This incident comes on the heels of his new music announcement as he gears up for his next album, Rocket Power. On Friday, July 21st, Quavo announced via Instagram that an album dedicated to his nephew Takeoff, who was shot dead in 2022, will drop on August 4.
