The Queer Romcom, “Red, White, and Royal Blue,” Releases Today On Prime Videos
The queer romcom “Red, White, and Royal Blue” was released on Prime Video on August 11. Amazon Prive Videos have brought a star-crossed love story between Great Britain and the United States.
According to a report made by Variety, the official trailer that was released showed Taylor Zakhar Perez cast as the first Son of the US, Alex Claremont-Diaz, as Nicholas Galitzine plays the character of Prince Henry of Britain.
The trailer shows the initial conflict, which resulted in a fued that was named by the tabloid “The Buttercream Summit.” It also shows them becoming fake friends for the improvement of British and US relations.
Taylor Zakhar Perez, popularly known for his role in “The Kissing Booth” on Netflix, plays the role of Alex, whereas Nicholas Galitzine who has been seen in the character of Prince Robert in Cinderella, which Prime Video made portraying the character of Prince Henry. The trailer showed a brewing romance in the backdrop of personal growth and political intrigue.
As the plot unfolds, Henry and Alex are pressured to spend time with one another, but they eventually fall in love. But their developing relationship becomes a hurdle for the re-election campaign for Alex’s mother. The film shows the entire journey from being enemies to becoming potential lovers against the backdrop id international diplomacy and politics.
The cast includes Stephen Fry, Ellie Bamber, Sarah Shahi, Thomas Flynn, and Uma Thurman. This film has been adapted from a bestselling novel by Casey McQuiston and directed by Mattew Lopez. According to a report by Variety, Michael McGrath, Greg Berlanti, and Sarah Schechter are the producers of the film, and McQuiston and Lopez are the executive producers.
The actual novel Red, White, and Royal Blue was published in 2019; that portrays a love affair between the British and American Prince, which became the most cherished LGBTQ+ love story the world has ever known.
