Robert Pattinson Is All Set To Surprise His Fans With Another Experimental Role
The movie trailer for Mickey 17 shows various facets of Robert Pattinson, including space colonization, human printing, and identity. This is another film by Bong Joon Ho, who went to CinemaCon to show the trailer.
Bong mentioned that this is a story about “a simple man who ultimately ends up saving the world.” This movie is based on the novel Mickey 7, written by Edward Ashton. Mickey 7 is a space colonist popularly known as expendable.
It showcases those who do most of the dangerous work for the colony and loses their life in the process. However, they are brought back to life with the help of human printing technology.
The novel’s protagonist is the 7th version of the man named Mickey Barnes, but the movie has changed it a little for its own version. People are genuinely curious about this film and cannot wait for the trailer to release.
Why Is The Name Mickey 17?
The number is the number of times the protagonist died. Even though this is science fiction, it is the story of a man, a human story. The movie has some violent scenes as well.
In a scene, Mickey loses a hand and is dumped into a liquid metal alive with his consent. This is all the intel from Bong, which he shared with the crowd. People are curious because this is coming exactly after Bong made Parasite.
The movie was supposed to be released in March 2024, but due to some post-production delays, it will now be released on January 31, 2025. It also stars Toni Collette, Mark Ruffalo, Naomie Ackie, and Steven Yeun.
With the new sequel of The Batman, Pattinson says that Mickie 17 is one of the funniest science-fiction scripts that he has ever come across. He plays the role of Mickey 17 and Mickey 18.
