Sophie And Joe Spend Eight Hours Together On Their First Day Of Mediation

Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner went for their first mediation on Wednesday and spent eight long hours of their four-day mediation. Turner left the meeting at 6 p.m. along with her lawyer in New York.

The actress appeared exhausted in her casual look. She wore a pair of jeans and paired it with a white T-shirt and completed the look with a cable-knit sweater. Earlier that day, she was seen coming out of Taylor Swift’s apartment, where she is residing with two of her daughters.

Both Joans and Turner arrived separately and left the meeting at different times as well. Both their attorneys met on Tuesday for a pretrial, when they revealed that the couple would meet and try to come to an agreement about their divorce as well as a parenting plan for their daughters.

Both of them have been in a turf war from the time Jonas filed for divorce. After that, Turner sued Joe as he confiscated their passport, and Turner wanted to take them back to England. In the lawsuit, she mentioned that she and her husband agreed to move to England before splitting. Jonas wrote a letter back in June that confirmed this claim.

But now that they are looking for “50-50” custody of the kids, they would spend more time in the United States than Turner had thought. A representative of Jonas said he was “OK with the kids being raised both in the US and the UK.”

The Judge set the next hearing date for January 2, and during this time, Jonas and Turner have agreed to keep their daughters in New York so that both of them get the chance to spend time with their girls.

Though they are going through a bitter phase of their divorce, Joe hopes the mediation will improve his relationship with Turner.
