Tina Knowles Spotted Without Ring in First Sighting Amid Divorce Reports
Tina Knowles looked solemn on her recent outing since news of her divorce broke. The businesswoman looked stylish in black, v-neck long sleeves with pants to match, paired with a Louis Vuitton bag.
Byonce’s mother, 69, was papped at Los Angeles International Airport on Thursday, and while stepping out of her black SUV, she was noticeably without her wedding ring. It is not clear where she was headed.
Knowles has filed for divorce from her second husband, actor Richard Lawson after 8 years of marriage. She has listed the date of their separation as Tuesday, citing “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for separation.
Fans sensed the troubles brewing when the author of “Destiny’s Style: Bootylicious Fashion, Beauty, and Lifestyle Secrets from Destiny’s Child” did not join in on Lawson’s press tour for “Black Terror” earlier this month.
It was also noted that the fashion designer had changed her name back on Instagram to “Tina Knowles” from ‘Tina Lawson.’ Knowles was seen in an all-black ensemble at the airport ahead of her flight. The estranged couple had been friends for some time before things took a romantic turn in 2013.
Two years after their acquaintance, they tied the knot on a yacht in New Port, California. The mother of two is yet to make a statement about her separation from the “Always A Bridesmaid” actor.
Twitter users went wild following the news of the separation but for reasons other than their slit. Sleuths were quick to point out that Lawson, 76, had been “liking” pornographic content on the site.
One user commented, “I saw Richard Lawson’s likes this morning & umm.…,” whereas another said, “Hey uh…you know your Twitter likes are public…right?” Lawson’s account has since been deactivated.
Knowles has two daughters, Beyoncé and Solange, with her first husband, Matthew Knowles, with whom she was married for over 30 years. They divorced in 2011.
