Veteran Indian Comedian Raju Shrivastava Passes Away, Family Confirms

In shocking news, veteran Indian comedian Raju Shrivastava passes away on 21 September, Wednesday. He was admitted to the hospital after he had a heart attack while working out in the gym on 10 August. At the time of his death, the comedian was fifty-eight years old.

Shrivastava was admitted to Delhi AIIMS after he suffered a cardiac arrest while working out. He was in critical condition and was on the support of a ventilator for the next fifteen days. Though he regained consciousness, he was again on ventilator support after running a high fever on 1 September.

Ajit Saxena, Shrivastava’s chief advisor, mentioned that despite the best efforts of all the doctors, the comedian could not be saved.

Raju Shrivastava was born on 25 December 1963. He was an ace comedian who had been working in the entertainment industry for a very long time, since the 1980s.

He appeared in many films like Baazigar, Aamdani Atthanni Kharcha Rupaiya, and Maine Pyaar Kiya. However, he catapulted to fame after winning the Great Indian Laughter Challenge in the year 2005.
