Would Matthew Perry Be Here Now If Discovered Sooner? A Look Into The Last Hours of His Life

Last year, Perry himself said in a interview to People Magazine that, “I say in the book that if I did die, it would shock people, but it wouldn’t surprise anybody.” But after his untimely death on October 28 at his L.A home, that is exactly what millions of fans all over the world are feeling right now – shock. His fans and loved ones still cant believe that he is gone and are desperately sorting through his last hours to look for an answer.

According to a source, “The saddest thing of all is that people are saying Matthew could have been saved.”

“Those close to him can’t help but wonder just what would have happened if he’d just talked to a doctor about his fatigue, or if his assistant had arrived a few minutes earlier,” the source continued.

So What Was Matthew’s Last Moments Like? 

As all of us know by now, Matthew Perry had gone out to pickleball a few hours before his death. His coach Matt Manasse had revealed that Perry loved playing pickleball and was in court four to five times a week. On October 28th, Perry played pickleball with his regular partner. According to his partner, Perry “had been fatigued [that day] and over the past week.” On that day it was “a little more than usual and then “He played for one hour then went home.”

His assistant discovered him lying senseless in his hot tub and called 911. Even before the emergency personnel arrived, a bystander had pulled his head above the water and brought him near the edge of the tub.

A spokesperson representing the L.A fire department had commented, “A rapid medical assessment, sadly, revealed the man was deceased prior to first responder arrival.” 

The cause of his death is yet to be determined as toxicology reports has not been released yet. However, officers reported that no illegal drug were present. Only medication for COPD, antidepressants and anti-anxiety pills were found.
