Evan Handler Reacts to Kim Cattrall’s Cameo in ‘And Just Like That’ Season 2 Finale

During a friendly chat with PEOPLE magazine at the Ed Asner & Friends Celebrity Poker Night on Saturday, Evan Handler talked about Kim Cattrall’s cameo in ‘And Just Like That’ season 2 finale.

“I think it is great. I do,” mentions Handler – who plays Harry Goldenblatt in Sex and the City, as well as in the revival series ‘And Just Like That.’ He also jokingly remarked, “Apparently, [her cameo] was shot in the garage somewhere with no contact with anybody, so the only place I have to welcome her is into my living room when it airs on television.”

On asked when he heard about Kim’s return to ‘AJLT,’ he told PEOPLE, “I learned it the same way you did.”

Earlier this week, Kim Cattrall’s return to ‘AJLT,’ Sex and the City revival series, was confirmed by PEOPLE magazine. The cameo scene was shot in New York City on March 22. During filming, Kim Cattrall did not speak or have any kind of contact with her fellow stars, which includes Kristin Davis, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Cynthia Nixon. 

She also did not have any interactions with Michael Patrick King, the creator of the series. However, Patricia Field, the SATC designer, helped her to get ready for the scene. 

In the scene, we will get to see Samantha Jones (played by Kim Cattrall) speak to Carrie Bradshaw (played by Sarah Jessica Parker). Kim’s cameo does not come as a surprise, though. It was already confirmed by Michael Patrick King, 68, during a conversation with Variety last June. 

King had reportedly answered “yes” when he was asked if Samantha Jones would make an appearance in season 2. The second season of ‘And Just Like That’ will be premiering on June 22 of this year.
