Grammy Winner Tori Kelly Hospitalized After Collapsing at Dinner With Friends

According to a report by TMZ, Singer Tori Kelly fell unconscious while having dinner with friends on Sunday night at a restaurant in downtown Los Angeles. It was reported that before passing out, she was saying that her heart was beating very fast.

Instead of calling an ambulance, the Grammy-winning singer’s friends drove her to Cedars-Sinai hospital, which is one of the best hospitals in the country. At the hospital, the doctors found several clots in her legs and lungs and her condition is being described to be quite serious. She is being treated in an ICU. According to TMZ, doctors are examining her closely for clots around her heart.

Tori Kelly is originally from Southern California. She rose to fame after acquiring followers through youtube and participating in competitions like American Idol, Star Search and America’s Most Talented Kid. In 2019 Grammies, she won the award for Best Gospel Performance/song (“Never Alone” with Kirk Franklin) and Best Gospel Album (Hiding Place). She has also lend her voice to the character Meena in the animated movie series Sing.
