Jonathan Majors’ Ex-Girlfriend Arrested On Grounds Of Assault: But The D.A. Won’t Proceed!

The former girlfriend who is accusing Jonathan Majors of assault is currently in trouble under the law for striking him allegedly. She has even surrendered to the police in New York. 

Sources from law enforcement told TMZ, “Grace Jabbari was arrested Wednesday evening at Manhattan’s 10th Precinct for allegedly attacking the “Creed III” actor after Majors filed a cross-complaint against her back on June 22.”

TMZ also mentioned that, allegedly, Jabbari scratched Majors’ right hand before smacking him on the face, resulting in a cut on his cheek and plenty of ear pain. After this incident, she tore apart the buttons on his coat, damaging the coat’s front pocket. 

We were told that she was booked under criminal mischief and misdemeanor. 

However, there is one major problem. The office of Manhattan D.A. filed the court papers on Tuesday, mentioning how it had gotten in touch with the NYPD only last month since it had zero intention of actually prosecuting Jabbari for “the belated allegations made by defendant [Majors] regarding the incident on March 25, 2023.”

Clearly, the police and the D.A. are not really seeing eye to eye on this particular case. The NYPD believes that they have sufficient reason to actually arrest Jabbari, and even while the D.A. did not, the cops did book her. 

As in the case of Majors, he was actually charged with harassment and misdemeanor assault in March. This happened right after Jabbari had accused her former lover of assault inside an apartment in Manhattan. Later, Jabbari was treated for neck and head injuries at a local hospital and subsequently released. 

Majors believe that he has sufficient evidence to justify his innocence. He has the security footage of his former girlfriend partying through the night right after the alleged assault. Priya Chaudhry, Major’s attorney, noted in the court documents how Jabbari was spotted walking into an establishment normally, ordering a few drinks, and dancing around. 

At a hearing on Wednesday, the judge decided to set the trial date for Majors on 29th November.
