Kim Kardashian, Kevin Hart, And Many Other Celebs Are Accused Of Drought Restriction Violations
Another Day, Another Celeb Scandal!
Celebrities like Kim Kardashian, Kevin Hart, Kourtney Kardashian, and many more are accused of violating the drought restrictions in California.
Kim Kardashian, 41, and Kevin Hart, 43, are among the celebs who received a “notice of exceedance,” by Las Virgenes Municipal Water District. As reported by the Los Angeles Times on 22 August, the notice was sent to those customers who have used more than 150 percent of the water budget monthly about four times more.
In addition to Kevin Hart and Kim Kardashian, the other celebs who received the notice are Kourtney Kardashian, Sylvester Stallone, and Dwayne Wade.
The district has now ruled to install a flow restricting device; this will halt or reduce sprinklers which will decrease the water pressure for those properties that received the notices.
The district of Las Virgenes has issued a “Stage 3,” restriction and rules to try and decrease water usage by about 50 percent. This will also limit the watering of plants and lawn by once a day each week.
Beginning of this year, the Metropolitan Water District of Southern California imposed its strictest restriction during the state’s driest time on record. They issued a regulation to restrict water usage to only 80 gallons per day.
Mike McNutt, a spokesperson from Las Virgenes, said, “We’re asking them to not just minimize their water usage, but we’re also asking them, in a way, to just completely rethink what is aesthetically pleasing to them and how that’ll impact their property value.”
