The Bombshell Of Hollywood, Marilyn Monroe, Is Not Depicted In The Movie ‘Blonde.’

One of the biggest rising stars of Hollywood, Marilyn Monroe, once said, “Don’t make me a joke please. I don’t mind making jokes, but I don’t want to be one.” But with great regret, that is exactly what happened in Netflix’s Blonde.

Netflix’s new original movie Blonde is a vague biopic based on the life of a stunning young actress, which turned into a grotesque sexualization of her body, leaving no space for her mind. The film dehumanizes Monroe in every aspect by showing disturbing sexual abuse and torture, inching away from pornography.

The movie Blonde seems to devote all its screen time to showing Monroe as a glorified victim of the “wolves of Hollywood,” against whom she fought in real life. There were certain scenes in the film that was far from reality and was nothing more than a fever dream, like her cervical torture and going through abortion multiple times.

The movie emphasized more on her body and nothing on her mind. They forgot all other aspects of Monroe’s personality and went with Hollywood’s “Dumb Blonde” narrative. In reality, she fought with numerous vultures of Hollywood, even when she was a rising star.

Joan Collins recalled Marilyn saying to her, “Watch out for the wolves of Hollywood, honey… if they don’t get what they want, they’ll drop your contract.”
