In The Middle Of Divorce With Joe Jonas, Sophie Turner Kisses Costar On Set!
Sophie Turner is currently paying attention to her work in the middle of her divorce with Joe Jonas.
The English actress was photographed by PEOPLE in action on set for her upcoming ITVX series Joan with costar Frank Dillane. The costars were even captured sharing a kiss when a scene was being shot.
27-year-old Turner and 32-year-old Dillane were also captured frolicking in the ocean and smiling while filming on the beach in Spain.
Sophie Turner As Joan:
Joan is all set to feature the Game Of Thrones actor depicting the real-life person, Joan Hannington, in her journey from a housewife to a criminal mastermind in London during the 1980s. Dillane plays Joan’s husband, while Kirsty J. Curtis, Alex Blake, Harry Pittard, Lankesh, Gershwyn Eustache Jr., and Laura Aikman also round out the whole cast.
The series has already managed to garner some major awards season hype, particularly for Turner, who went through a stunning transformation for the main role.
Recently, Brad Schwartz, the entertainment chief for CW, mentioned on The Hollywood Reporter’s TV’s Top 5 podcast, per TVLine, “That is going to be awards bait, that show. The dailies look amazing, and Sophie Turner is phenomenal. … I’m really, really excited about that one.”
Sophie Turner And Joe Jonas Divorce Story:
Turned actually came back to set only days after 34-year-old Jonas filed for divorce on 5th September after four years of marriage. The ex-couple, who got married in 2019, have two children together.
Addressing their divorce for the very first time, Jonas and Turner said in a joint statement that they “have mutually decided to amicably end our marriage. There are many speculative narratives as to why, but truly, this is a united decision, and we sincerely hope that everyone can respect our wishes for privacy for us and our children.”
In the days that led up to the divorce filing, Turner was out enjoying herself at a wrap party for Joan’s Birmingham portion – the actress was “in high spirits.”
Hezron Stephenson, bar manager, spoke about Turner with PEOPLE, “She was really down to earth.” The actress “felt very comfortable” and at the same time also “seemed very happy” while celebrating with her costars.
Stephenson also added that the X-Men: Dark Phoenix star was “sweet” and “really chill.” She even “pulled her card out and paid for a round of shots.”
