Breaking Bad Actor And Comedian Mike Batayeh, Shockingly Dies In Sleep At 52
The comedian and actor Mike Batayeh, widely known for his role as the manager of Gus’s infamous laundromat in Breaking Bad, passed away at the age of 52.
The family stated that he passed away in his sleep on 1st June. He was at his home in Michigan.
His family mentioned, “It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that my sisters and I announce the passing of our dear brother. He will be greatly missed by those who loved him and his great ability to bring laughter and joy to so many.”
The actor played the character Dennis Markowski, manager of a laundromat called Lavenderia Brillante in AMC network’s Breaking Bad.
He has appeared in many TV shows throughout his career, like “Sleeper Cell,” “Boy Meets World,” “It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia,” ”The Berney Mac Show,” and “Everybody Loves Raymond.” He played the leading role named Mike in the film “Detroit Unleaded,” which was released in 2012. He also did many films as a co-star, like “Gas,” “Don’t mess with Zohan,” and “American Dreamz.”
He also made a career as a comedian and performed at many prominent comedy clubs like Comedy Store, Laugh Factory, Icehouse, and the Improv, which are all in Los Angeles. He also performed in many comedy clubs in New York, like Gotham.
Batayeh was among the first comedian from America who performed in the Middle East for local audiences. The Royal Family of Jordon invited him for two years consecutively for performing at the Amman International Comedy Festival. Batayeh also did many shows in Lebanon, Jordan, Egypt, and Nazareth. While doing shows in Dubai, he also filmed a special piece for Showtime Arabia.
