Turner And Jonas Have Pledged To Become “Great Co-Parents” After A Successful Mediation
Sophie Turner and Joe Joans have agreed to put their intense custody battle behind them and just focus on raising their daughters. The ex-couple put out a joint statement just hours after they reached a temporary agreement about their parenting dynamics for 1-year-old Delphine and 3-year-old Willa.
The former couple gave a statement to Page Six on Tuesday, saying, “After a productive and successful mediation, we have agreed that the children will spend time equally in loving homes in both the U.S. and the UK. We look forward to being great co-parents.”
Earlier that day, Page Six confirmed that Turner, 27, and Jonas, 34, believe an “amicable resolution on all issues between them” was around the corner after they attended mediation last week together.
As per the court documents, the duo has agreed that Turner is going to take their daughters back to the UK from 9th October to 21st October. Turner looked happy while she took her girls out on Monday in NYC, which is the first of the twelve days that she has had with her daughters.
Both Turner And Jonas Will Get To Spend The Holidays With Their Kids
After this period, Turner would have to give their daughters back to Jonas, who will have them till 2nd November. They are going to continue this swap till January 7, 2024. This means that Turner will have their daughters for Christmas, and Joan will spend Thanksgiving with them.
Jonas filed for divorce from Sophie in September after being married for four years. After a few weeks, she sued Jonas for returning their daughters to her for taking them back to England. She claimed that it was their plan to take their daughters back to England before their split.
Though Jonas and Turner have come to an agreement about child custody, it is still not clear how the divorce proceedings are going to be handled as she wants the case to be heard in the United Kingdom, while Jonas wants the case to remain in the US.
