“Gangstas Paradise, R.I.P” American Rapper Coolio Dies At Age Of 59
Iconic American rapper Coolio dies at the age of 59, best known for his iconic mega hit Gangstas Paradise. The long time friend and manager of the rapper, Jarez Posey, announced the news to Associated Press on Wednesday.
The rapper was found in the bathroom of a friend’s house, and he was unresponsive; although the exact cause of death has not yet been revealed, paramedics believe he had a cardiac arrest.
Coolio was widely known for his iconic rap back in the 90s, Gangstas Paradise, which he made for the movie Dangerous Minds, which starred Michelle Pfeiffer. The song won a Grammy for “Best Rap Solo.”
Over his career, he received many awards and had many other hits like Rollin’ With My Homies, 1234 (Slumpin’ New), Fantastic Voyage, and also Too Hot.
After the news of his death came out, tributes from the rap world came in, along with fans paying their respects over Twitter. Everyone from Snoop Dogg, MC Hammer, Ice Cube, and Vanilla Ice paid their respect to the rapper’s death.
