Justin Timberlake Warns Audience About Backlash; Says “No Disrespect”
It looks like Justin Timberlake is finally done with all the Britney Spears backlash. On Wednesday, while performing for the opening of Fontainebleau in Las Vegan, Justin Timberlake forewarned his audience, saying “no disrespect” before belting out one of his biggest hits, “Cry Me a River.”
It is rumored that the track is about Britney Spears because the video features an unfaithful woman who looks a lot like the “toxic” singer. Justin Timberlake and Britney Spears were in a relationship with each other from 1999 to 2002. The track “Cry Me A River” came the year the couple broke up, which was in 2002.
Now it seems that the rumors are true because Britney Spears also revealed that she cheated on Justin Timberlake with choreographer Wade Robson in her memoir, “The Woman in Me” which came out this year.
She admitted in her memoir, “We were out one night and we went to a Spanish bar. We danced and danced. I made out with him that night.”
The “Oops!…I did it again” singer further mentioned that Timberlake agreed to overlook the cheating because she (Britney) was “loyal to Justin” for years and had “eyes for him” only.
However, Spears admitted that her ex’s hit single made her look like a “harlot who’d broken the heart of America’s golden boy,” and she “felt there was no way at the time to tell my side of the story.”
She explained this in detail in her memoir, “I couldn’t explain, because I knew no one would take my side once Justin had convinced the world of his version. I don’t think Justin realized the power he had in shaming me. I don’t think he understands to this day.” Britney Spears also accused Justin Timberlake of cheating on her with “another celebrity.” However, she didn’t reveal the identity of the “celebrity.”
