Uncuffed and Unbothered: Sofia Vergara is All-smiles in Recent Outing Amid Divorce

While out for a mid-day stroll, the Modern Family star looked every bit as happy and carefree as she ever has been. Noticeably she had a bare ring finger amid her divorce from Joe Manganiello. 

For an outing in Hollywood, California, on Monday, Sofia wore a long-sleeve gray shirt and a pair of dark blue Nike joggers. She accessorized her look with gold earrings, a crossbody bag, and white sneakers to match. 

She was obviously in a good mood when she even proceeded to give the paparazzi a thumbs up and a huge smile while she walked past them. She is seen for the first time in Los Angeles since her Italian getaway with her closest friends for her 51st birthday.

In the photos the star posted on her Instagram, her fans noticed her without her ring and Manganiello absent from her side. It was a tell-tale hint at the troubles brewing in her marriage. Manganiello’s birthday post added fuel to the fire “¡¡¡Feliz Cumpleaños Sofía!!!” which sounded “cold” according to netizens. 

Very shortly after, celebrity news outlet Page Six broke the news that the two had decided to part ways after seven years of marriage. “We have made the difficult decision to divorce,” the duo told the outlet in an exclusive, “As two people that love and care for one another very much, we politely ask for respect of our privacy at this time as we navigate this new phase of our lives.”

A source close to the couple remarked that the two have been “growing apart for a while,” and had decided to maintain “some distance from each other to contemplate their future.”

Another insider seemed to have found a reason for their separation, “Sofia’s living her best life, she’s spending time with her friends after being stifled in a relationship with a largely unsupportive partner. Sofía was always there to take care of Joe, while his career was never what it was when they met. I think he’s been threatened by her success and joie de vivre.” Reports also surfaced, claiming Manganiello’s sobriety played a role in the separation because Sofia, on the other hand, is not sober.
