Taylor Swift is currently in her NFL era – and we are loving it.
Ever since the Lover singer accepted Travis Kelce’s invitation to watch the Kansas City Chiefs play the Chicago Bears on 24th September, literally everyone – from football fans to Swifties has been entirely glued to the couple’s every move.
It does appear to be like a high-school romance from the relationship’s outside.
After the KCC tight end missed meeting Swift at one of her shows in July, he sent her an invite to watch him play football at Arrowhead Stadium. This was the same venue where Swift had performed earlier.
To the surprise of the whole world, Swift showed up in a classic red-and-white KCC jacket to cheer Kelce enthusiastically with his mother. Fittingly, the KCC bestowed a crushing defeat of 41-10 on the Bears, putting up a good show for Swift.
Subsequently, the couple was spotted together – walking out of the stadium first and then appearing cozy at the after-party.
While most Swifties are already big supporters of Swift’s new man, many have begun to wholeheartedly believe that their music idol will never disappoint or deceive them.
However, others, including Sara Haines, the host of ‘The View,’ said that the couple’s pairing is an elaborate publicity stunt. Moreover, the stunt was complete with planned moments, including the shots where the couple was spotted in a getaway car. Perhaps it is a reference to Swift’s popular song.

Since the inception of Hollywood, PR relationships have been common. But the Taylor Swift effect is on an entirely different level.

But even if that was her primary goal, then she would have most probably chosen an individual with a somewhat bigger profile.
There are so many famous athletes. Trave Kelce is not one of them! He doesn’t have the crossover appeal of Swift – it’s not like she would have gotten all his fans! Please give us a break – that’s so not happening!
Moreover, she is one of the most popular global entertainers out there – if she felt like dating one of the most popular athletes, then she would have done it. Travis is not one of them – though the 33-year-old tight end is one of the best tight ends to have ever played in the NFL.
Also, the Cruel Summer singer appears to do everything organically – as a result, you cannot decisively say it was a stunt.
Instead, whatever is happening between Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce is spontaneous – it is an instance of something that feels like something genuine at the moment. In fact, if you see how cautious Swift has been with the overexposure due to the sincerity of the budding relationship.
Additionally, she does not typically do things out in public that she is not comfortable with – in fact, she would only do something when it felt like it was worth everything. Based on all that we have seen so far, it feels like Kelce and Swift are really into each other.

After all, the relationship happens to be mutually beneficial for both Kelce and Swift, regardless of the relationship’s veracity.
For Swift, she stays relevant and trending (not that she needs a man for that) even when she is on a break from the Eras Tour. In fact, she built up sufficient hype for her two upcoming projects:

- ■ The movie about her concert tour (highly anticipated).
While the movie is about to hit theaters on 13th October, her recorded album will drop only two weeks after that. And if the relationship fizzles out by then, fans will automatically go back to talking about dissecting the brand-new album.
Meanwhile, Kelce’s jersey sales have witnessed a 400% spike in sales. Moreover, he has gained around 1.3 million new followers across X, TikTok, and Instagram. On top of that, his podcast (New Heights), which he hosts with Jason Kelce (his brother), rose to the number one spot on Apple.
In fact, it does seem very clear that he is actually interested in crossing over from the sports world to become a household name, popular with the masses. Naturally, all this attention definitely helps with the same. But then, the way Kelce talks about Swift makes this very genuine.
Experts Are Divided:
However, even if it is not going to work out like this, experts are actually divided.
So, it does not really matter if it’s real. The bottom line here is that everyone is talking about the couple – discussing it in their group chats, talking to the media, and putting it up on socials. Basically, what matters here is that the couple is having fun.
It almost appears like they are having a really great time – plus, they are also in the news at the moment. Taylor Swift is a hero to many people – she is a role model of sorts. She has experienced enough drama in life – it does matter that the whole thing is very real.
Also, Swift’s whole aura is very real – she is authentic. We can’t see how Swift could have benefited from being fake.
The Biggest Winner Isn’t Swift Or Kelce: It’s NFL!
Truly, Kelce is actually getting so much more out of dating Swift as compared to the other way around.
But if you think about it, neither Kelce nor Swift is benefiting as much as the NFL. In fact, Swift’s appearance at the Bears and Chiefs game was also the most-watched game of the past week on any network. Moreover, the game drew around 24.3 million viewers. Fox Sports also reported that the game was the first one to have female viewers ranging between different age groups of 12 to 17, 18 to 34, and 18 to 49.
We actually think that the NFL should just thank their lucky stars for Swift! If viewership increases because Swift was attending the event, think about the ticket prices.
Only last week, we came across Stubhub’s report that talked about how both searches and sales for the Chiefs had tripled before their match against the Jets on Sunday at the MetLife Stadium located in New Jersey’s East Rutherford.
If Taylor Swift is right now in her NFL era, then the NFL is also in its Swift era.
Apologies, Lovebirds: Gossipment Doesn’t Think The Couple Is Faking It!
Right after the AFC championship ended, there was this moment when everything changed – that was the moment when Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce kissed. It made us believe in love again.
The kiss looked so damn real! That is exactly how a couple with a future together shares a kiss. It wasn’t for the sake of publicity – it wasn’t a phony kiss. At that moment, the two seemed genuinely happy. We can’t believe that we are literally dissecting a kiss like we are teenagers again!
There’s no doubt that the two looked like a legit couple! Also, they did look like they were in love – yep, love!

We have all become so cynical about love that it is next to impossible to believe that all this PDA is real!

Of course, we have all felt really dumb about believing in sham celebrity relationships and at least partly felt like this could also be one of those celebrity flings. Also, as time passed and the couple made more and more public appearances, it looked relatively less fake.
There was particularly one signal that most people initially ignored – it was perhaps one of the biggest early signs.
In a radio interview, when the host asked Jason Kelce about his brother’s budding relationship, Jason said, “It’s hard to answer because I don’t know what’s happening in Travis’s love life, and I try to keep his business his business and stay out of that world. But having said that, man, I think they’re doing great, and I think it’s all 100% true, and I hope that this thing goes the mile.”
Later, Jason tried to make this a joke, but obviously, we knew it was anything but a joke.
Another huge clue about the relationship’s authenticity came up after Swift attended the first match in September at the Kelce brother’s podcast, ‘New Heights.’
At the podcast, Travis said, “Shout-out to Taylor for pulling up. That was pretty (gutsy). I just thought it was awesome how everybody in the suite had nothing but great things to say about her, the friends, and family. She looked amazing, everybody was talking about her in great light, and on top of that, the day went perfect for Chiefs’ fans, of course. We script it all, ladies and gentlemen. It was impressive. To see the slow-motion chest bumps, to see the high fives with mom, to see the (Kansas City fans) all excited she was there, that was absolutely hysterical, and it was definitely a game that I’ll remember, that’s for … sure.”
We Are Team Travis And Taylor!
As Taylor started attending more NFL games, hanging out with Kelce’s mother, and meeting his dad. Also, Kelce was on the Eras Tour in Argentina. Then came another sweet moment between Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce that made us believe in celebrity love again!
It was What Travis said about Swift! He said, “Obviously, I’ve never dated anyone with that kind of aura about them. … I’ve never dealt with it. But at the same time, I’m not running away from any of it. … The scrutiny she gets, how much she has a magnifying glass on her, every single day, paparazzi outside her house, outside every restaurant she goes to, after every flight she gets off, and she’s just living, enjoying life. When she acts like that, I better not be the one acting all strange.”
We might actually be witnessing some stuff that might appear to be fake on the surface, but it happens to be pretty earnest. These two people deeply care for one another. One is a global entertainer, and the other is a future attendee of the Hall of Famer. It’s a cool story – there is nothing staged, rigged, or shady about the relationship.
