Tory Lanez is Facing a Ten-year Sentence for Shooting Megan Thee Stallion

Jose Baez is claiming that his client, Tory Lanez, is being punished because of his celebrity status as he is ripping a 10-year sentence. He called it to be “extreme” and “incredibly harsh.” He also ripped the prosecutors as they made an example out of the rapper. He also mentioned that the defense team is planning on appealing.

Tory addressed the court before he was sentenced and said that he wanted a chance to be a better man and has a son back home who needs him. He requested the court to give him a chance to prove himself. He also addressed the views of the public and said that he was not a monster without remorse r sympathy and apologized for the night of the incident.

He said that Mega Thee Stallion was his friend, and they bonded over losing their mothers. He took responsibility for his deeds and again requested a chance to prove that he is a better man now.

His sentence was given on Tuesday in Los Angeles after almost two whole days of the hearing. Previously he was facing 22 years of imprisonment, and the sentence actually got delayed in the last few months. As it was reported, Tory was found guilty of shooting Megan in December, when TMZ obtained video footage that showed Megan limping near the SUV and leaving a trail of blood behind.

There were three charges that were brought against him, assault with a semiautomatic firearm, negligent discharge of a firearm, as well as carrying a loaded and unregistered firearm, and he was found guilty of all of them.

A few sources who are connected to the case said that Tory’s lawyers contacted the immigration officials before the verdict got out, saying they had the information that Tory might be forced out of the country.

There was an online petition that grew in support of Tory, and he also hired a high-profile lawyer Jose Baez to work for the appeal.
